This practice used to be owned by compassionate, good folks (first by the Fallons, then Dr. Green). Now, under new ownership, presumably Dr. Anderson, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The vet techs, Alexis in specific, are the only good ones left but we can no longer trust our pets to be cared for here. Policies have changed under this new management and now they do not allow pet owners to go in the back with their pets while they are being put down, which resulted in one of our poor elderly deaf and blind chihuahuas to screech the entire time he was being poked and prodded by a stranger in his final moments. Meanwhile, my mom was forced to listen from the waiting room. Had we known this was going to be the case, we would have went elsewhere, but didn’t even think to ask since we’d been coming here for decades. Only Alexis treated my mom with any compassion, so I had sent her flowers (the card was intentionally supposed to be directed to her only) as a thank you, but the new owners/Dr. Anderson apparently took that as a “good job/thank you” to them 😒 I was certainly not thanking him, because why would we thank the person who had put my mom through such a traumatic event with zero empathy, respect, or apology? Unless the policies change to allow for more compassionate final moments for pets and their owners, I couldn’t imagine recommending this place to anyone and have already encouraged local friends to go elsewhere. I feel bad for the staff members who have been working here for years that now have to deal with this new owner.
